«Holiday of cyrillic»  in Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts  24-25 .05.2008 

This holyday is dedicated to the founders of our writing system and it is open for all amateurs (and professionals) in calligraphy and type design.

This time we want to remember forgotten historical patterns and to dream about the future of Cyrillic alphabet. We will pay attention to «alternative Cyrillic» — what was it and what it could be.

In the frameworks of holyday the exhibition of modern Cyrillic type and calligraphy will be held.

Please, send your type placards, calligraphic and typographical compositions in 600х900 mm size, in .pdf or .tiff 200 dpi formats created no earlier then 2005 to the address: chekal@panic.com.ua.

For calligraphy size is free.
If You can not send calligraphy till the 20th of May, You can bring it in the morning of 24th of May, but beforehand You need to send .jpg to chekal@panic.com.ua.

The registration will work on site.

It is needed for organizers to know the amount of participants in the Holyday of Cyrillic.
