The book is a scholarly edition of the six memre from the First collection of Mar Isqac of Nineveh (St Isaac the Syrian). It is a bilingual edition: Syriac text alongside with the first Russian translation. The edition incarnates the idea to unite a scholarly book wuth the artistic appearance. The book has been conceived as a specimen of the Syrian orientalising style. Thus it follows an old harmonious aesthetic principle.
